Vivian and her stepfather Keith set up camp in a Rocky Mountain valley, on a trip that he hopes will recapture the magic of the ones they took when she was little, much to her chagrin. In the heat of an argument, she dampens his spirit by revealing her intentions to go to college in China, near her real dad. That night, both too tense to sleep, they hear a grizzly bear prowling around the campsite.
